I’ve been meaning to try this place with A, but it’s in SM Aura, and we almost never go to SM on weekends. Our only mall time is when we do groceries in Market! Market! on Saturday mornings. So to break my three-time streak of dining solo at Toast Box every time I run errands in SM, I’ve decided to solo-dine at Ping Pong Diplomacy. Continue reading “Ping Pong Diplomacy”
It’s exactly what you’d think the name suggests: Chicken sandwich.
I used to think FowlBread was just a take-away stall, with its industrial kitchen with a few chairs by the counter, along the busy Bonifacio High Street; this isn’t exactly where you’d like to invite a friend to to catch up.
But one day we were walking along High Street and went to the B3 restrooms, and only then did I notice the small (tiny!) enclosed sit-down dining area right behind the takeaway counter / kitchen! It’s so tiny it can only fit about ten people in total. It’s cute, intimate, and you feel kind of transported to a different place when you’re inside. Continue reading “FowlBread”
Before anything else: that’s a really long name. We all know it’s just gonna almost always referred to as Alegria.
This “hidden” sangria bar is tucked away up on the top floor of the Uniqlo building on 7th Avenue (and 30th Street) in BGC. Not kidding! We went up and passed through three levels of Uniqlo clothes. There’s a back entrance by the elevator which gets you in from the parking lot area of Bonifacio High Street where Beyond the Box service center is at. Continue reading “Alegria Cozinha Moderna & Sangria Bar”
I’ve noticed this nicely-decorated unmistakably Japanese restaurant by Uptown Place Mall several times, and seemed like a lot of people were enjoying their food. There are also big signs of “No Double Dipping,” in and outside of the resto, so I was curious to know what kind of Jap food they’re serving. Continue reading “Kushikatsu Daruma”
Last year, on my then-boyfriend’s birthday, we went to Mamou in Serendra, but the steak, wine, and cake combo had him ending up in the hospital. He has GERD, or simply gastro reflux, which makes it difficult to digest beef and certain food. Basically, his digestive system needs to work much harder, resulting in too much acid in his tummy, I think. The key to enjoying his food now is to eat earlier–giving his tummy plenty of time to digest before he needs to lie down and sleep–and in moderate quantities.
But it’s so sad because he loves steaks. And burgers. So this year, I went to check reviews for burger places within BGC. This Grind Bistro was a little bit popular, and so I went to check my food apps to make a reservation. Quite luckily, I was able to book us a table for 5pm (yup, that early for dinner) at 50% discount! Continue reading “Grind Bistro at Net Park”
